Hi, I'm Sarah!

I grew up in New York City, where food preservation was never on my mind, but that changed when I moved to Amish Country, PA, about 15 years ago, for love. My husband’s family introduced me to growing and preserving food, and after tasting my first cob of fresh, local corn, I was hooked.

Now, I raise meat birds and grow a small but mighty garden that keeps my family stocked with homemade salsa, pasta sauce, and herbs. While our one-acre homestead keeps me busy, I love sourcing locally what I can't grow. Whether it’s grass-finished beef or fresh produce from a nearby Amish stand, preserving the best local foods has become a passion.
